Glorious Days
Beautiful Moments My mom's last days. Augustina Lapuz turned 94 years old, much to her surprise, on Dec 24, 2022. These glorious days start on that day with some moments recorded from before. So many more times than I can count I will bring her food and in the past days, I will feed her when she has been too weak. Despite her weakened state she will always ask, “You?” or "Ikaw?" meaning, have you eaten? When will you eat? What will you eat? She asks this before she will accept a bite. Always she thinks of me first. A few months ago, I had told my mom that I was grateful that she is my mom. I needed her to know that she did a good job. I wanted her to go out of this life feeling satisfied and fulfilled as a mother and woman. I didn't want her to feel regret or guilt over things she had to do that she wished she had done differently. I wanted her to be happy with her life.
